James Edward McLain, Jr.
Graveside services for James Edward McLain, Jr., 80, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2009 at Rosewood Park with the Reverend Billy McGee officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. McLain was born February 6, 1929 in Jackson, Oklahoma to James and Emma McLain and had been a resident of Longview since 1965. He was retired from Axelson as a machinist and was a U. S. Army veteran of Korea.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Betty McLain of Longview; daughters, Debbie Ray and husband Stanley, Carolyn McAteer and husband Larry and Janet Mauney all of Longview; sister, Geraldine Chance and husband Bob of Spring, TX; grandchildren, Miranda Applewhite and husband John, Dr. Shona Ray, Chris McAteer and fianc Danielle Walker, Adam Ray, and Taylor Mauney; 2 great grandchildren, Haylee Lil Bit and Chance Applewhite.
