Funeral services for James Danny Gray, 63, of Hallsville will be held at two O?clock pm Thursday April 30, 2009 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Ellen Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Stewart Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Danny went to meet our Father, April 27, 2009 in Longview.
Preceded in death by a son, Little Danny Gray II, father Royal Edward Jack Gray, mother, Sara Burke Gray, two brothers, Kenneth Bubba and Jerry Gray.
He is survived by his wife, Lida Gray, sister, Judy Braswell, children, Melanie Stanley and husband Bob, Amy Lipsey and husband Jarrod, James Jeffrey Gray and wife Candace, Mariam Ludes and husband Richard, step-children, Choya , Steve and David Bearden, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was born on October 15, 1945 in Henderson, Texas. He had worked for the Longview Fire Department for ten years and he was a carpenter.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday April 29, 2009 from 6-8 pm.
Pallbearers will be, Richard Ludes, Bob Stanley, Jarrod Lipsey, Joe Meaders, Steve Bearden and John Moore.
