James B. Cost's Obituary
James B. Cost age 86, of Longview passed away October 20, 2015. He was born in Kilgore, TX September 4, 1929 to Edward and Lula Cost. It was in Kilgore he attended local schools growing up and graduated from Kilgore High School.
James was a truck driver for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his garden and playing bingo. James was also a volunteer at Longview Regional Medical Center and a member of the Senior Circle, Green Street Recreation Center and Joy Makers in Kilgore. Those that knew James knew he was a good man and loved his family dearly. He will be sorely missed by all.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two children Bennett Cost and his wife Barbara and Wanda Praznik and her husband Lyness, grandchildren Kyle and Colton Cost, Melony Rodriguez, Mark Cooke and Reagan Praznik, great-grandchildren Jordan and Aly Bryan, Joseph and Erin Rodriguez, Brantly Cost and Gatlin Cooke, and two sisters Lula Lee Hanks and Lurene Cost.
His dear wife of 60 years, brothers Bennett and Lawson Cost and his sister Lilly Mae Chavers all precede him in passing.
Funeral services will be 10am Saturday October 24, 2015 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Interment will follow services at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. There will be a time of visitation at the funeral home Friday evening October 23, 2015 from 6pm-8pm.
