James Conway Terrell's Obituary
Graveside services for James Conway Terrell, Sr., 83, of the Tatum/Longview area, will be held at 1 PM Saturday, June 22, 2002 at the Acton Cemetery near Granbury, Texas. Burial will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He died Wednesday, June 19, in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Terrell was born December 31, 1918 in Hood County, Texas, to William E. and Minnie Mae Terrell, and had been a resident of the Tatum/Longview area for the past 3 years. He was a retired drag line operator for the H. B. Zachary Pipeline, and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 178, AFL-CIO in Ft. Worth. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Truman Terrell, and sister, Aleene Hargrave.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou Terrell of Tatum/Longview; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie L. and James Roy of Longview, and Janet Marie and Bill Wilson of Carrolton; sons and daughters-in-law, James C., Jr. "Jimmie" and Myra Lynn Terrell of Tatum and Limmie W. and Chris Terrell of Ponder, Texas; sister, Hazel Shannon of Hurst, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
