J. Clifford ''Cliff'' White, Jr.
Funeral Services for J. Clifford ''Cliff'' White, Jr., 71, of Longview, will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 28, 2001 in the Ford Chapel at the First Baptist Church of Longview with the Reverend Dewayne Beaty officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. White was born August 12, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas to James, Sr. and Marguerite White. He passed away on Sunday morning November 25, 2001 in a Tyler hospital. After High School, Mr. White served his country with the United States Air Force in the Korean War. He received his bachelors degree from LeTouneau Technical Institute, and remained in Longview for the past 33 years. He worked as Purchasing Manager with LeTournaeu Company of Longview before retiring in 1996. Mr. White was a tax volunteer with AARP, a member in good standing 43 years of the Society of Automotive Engineers, the past president of the Purchasing Management Association of East Texas, the past president of LeTourneau Alumni, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Longview, where he attended the Joy Sunday School Class.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. White is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maudean White of Longview, sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Sherry White of Liberty City, David and Beckie White of Tyler, daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Matt Garcia of Katy, Texas, grandchildren, Michael, Stacy, Heather, and Christopher White, all of Liberty City, Stephanie White of Tyler, Adam Garcia and Amanda Garcia of Katy, Texas, sisters, Delcye White of San Antonio, and Jean White of Houston. He is also survived by two friends that are very special to the White family, Joe and Fredna McGehee.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday evening, November 27, 2001 at the funeral home.
