James C. ''Jim'' Evans' Obituary
Graveside services for James C. ''Jim'' Evans, 78, of Longview, will be 11 AM Monday at Rosewood Park Cemetery with Reverends Paul Klewer and Clayton Hurst officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. Evans died Thursday evening in a local nursing center.
A native of Post, Texas, he was born October 22, 1923 and had lived in Longview for the past 25 years coming from Colorado. He was a jeweler and had owned a jewelry store in Colorado. After retiring he started a clock repair business. Mr. Evans was a member of the Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife Aline of Longview; Son: Gary Evans of Tyler; Granddaughter: Breanna Evans of Marshall; Sisters: Lois Duncan of El Reno, OK and Leta Bell Rutherford of Oklahoma; Brother: Norman Dale Evans of Tulsa, OK; Sisters-in-Law: Betty Hiltzman and husband Ronald of White Oak, Bertie Farest and husband Al of Hous-ton, Irene Thomas and husband Ralph of S. C., Dorothy DeLosh of NM and several nieces and nephews.
