James Carl J.C. Miller's Obituary
James Carl J. C. Miller, 91, of Longview passed away, Sunday, February 20, 2005. Graveside services will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pritchett, Texas, Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 12:00 noon, with the Rev. Dewayne Beaty officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Miller was born August 5, 1913 in Pritchett, TX. to Carl C. and Ethel Williams Miller. He married his wife of 65 years, Helen McKenzie Miller on December 2, 1939.
Mr. Miller was a retired service manager from Brew Pontiac Company having worked in the automotive field for over 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corp in the finance section and attained the rank of Master Sargent. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Longview?s Business Men?s Bible Class .
Mr. Miller?s survivors include: his wife, Helen Miller; his daughter Patricia and her husband and David Witt of Longview; his son Allen and his wife Delilah Miller of Humble; grandchildren David and his wife Tracy Witt, Mark Witt of Longview; Michael Miller of Dallas, Matthew Miller of Humble; great-grandchildren Taylor and Allyson Witt; sister Nell Rose and husband Edwin Stringer of Winsboro; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Miller was proceeded in death by his parents; sisters Trudy Britt, Flora Belle McDonald, Willie Champion; brother Floyd Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn Street, Dallas, TX 75219.
