James was such a fine man. I met him at McIntosh drugs when he substituted for Darrell Carter. We will miss him.

Terri and Steven,
I can't tell you what your father and mother meant to Paula and I. When we first moved to Longview and I starting working with Mr. C. at Brookshire, he and Ms. Marge would always invite us to go to Church with them out to eat, etc. Mr. C use to take me to the golf course (I think twice). Then he told me that the game of golf was not meant to last for 6 hours. He would tell me that he had never seen anyone hit a golf ball soooo far, if we could just find it now. He and your mom treated us like family. We dearly loved and love the both of them. We am truly sorry for your loss. I will tell you that he always bragged on the both of you and his grandchildren. We would always stop by their house on the way to Tyler and spend the night when Jim would have a meeting or something. Both of them are truly blessings to both Paula and I. Thank you for sharing your parents with us.

Dear Family,
I am so sadden to have seen this in the paper. James will be truly missed. I enjoyed the years I got to work with you all and the life long friendship that we made. Please know you all will be in my prayers.

Terri, Steve, and family,
We were so sorry to learn of the loss of your dad. Mr. C was a huge supporter and mentor to me and my young family when I came to work at ETBT in the early 70"s. Many, many fond memories of those years with both him and Ms. Margie. Your parents are some of the finest and most genuine people we have ever had the privilege of knowing. His was a life certainly well-lived. Please know our prayers are with you both and the family.
Blessings,
Terry & Gwen Rozelle
Steve, (Curly) never met your dad. If he was anything like you, he was a good man. May perpetual light shine upon him and may the peace of the Lord be with you and your family. C.B. Smith
I first remember Cammack Drug when my Mama bought prescription for me when I was very young. I worked for Mr. Cammack and was his first full time pharmacy technician. He was use to doing everything himself-His Way. Fortunately I was just as stubborn to show him I was capable of doing almost everything for him in the pharmacy. After alot of talks and dirty looks, he became more than a boss. He became like a second father and always gave me great advice. Because of him I still love Big Band music. He always put his customers first and had the respect of all other pharmacist and loved by everyone. Rest in peace Mr. C.
James Cammack was my mentor from age 12 years old. I worked at the drug store all through my teenage years and into adulthood. He was such a support in all I did. He taught me this: Learn everyone's name. Call them by there surname (Mr. or Mrs.). If you know the family, ask about them. Those were the BEST years of my growing uo.
I drove the little red Pinto during my high school years for Cammack Drug Store under the moniker Bullet. I also was able to enjoy the companionship of both Mr and Mrs Cammack outside of the store. His love for the Big Band sound was immense and he shared that love by making me many cassette tapes of his collection. He was/in an icon in the East Texas pharmacy family. His knowledge and dedication is second to none and he will surely be missed. My sincerest condolences to Mrs Margie Cammack and her family during this time. Boyd
