James Allen Burcham "Jim"'s Obituary
James Allen Burcham "Jim" age 82, passed away February 8, 2019 peacefully at home after a short battle with brain cancer.
He was born April 23, 1936 in Mangum, OK to Sidney and Dena Burcham. It was in Mangum he attended local schools. Later Jim entered the US Army and proudly served our country in Korea. He met and married Bobbie Nell Cook on October 4, 1957. He worked and retired from Texas Eastman after 49 1/2 years of service. Jim was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish is memory are his loving wife of 61 years Bobbie Burcham, daughter Vickie Leigh Burcham, son Jamie Burcham, granddaughter Jennifer Ludlam and grandson Shane Burcham. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Wayne Burcham.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of viewing Monday, February 11, 2019 from 6pm-8pm at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Services will be Tuesday morning at 10 AM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery in Longview. The family request that memorial donations be made to the Oakland Heights Benevolence Fund, 1600 McCann Rd. Longview, Texas 75601.
