James Benton Watts
Graveside services for James Benton Watts, 79, of Kilgore will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 6, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Lewis Meider officiating. Arrangements are by Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. Watts died Wednesday, October 3, in Longview. He was born March 30, 1928, to Benton and Belmont Cochran Watts in Norphlet, Arkansas. He had lived in Kilgore for most of his life and was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a U. S. Navy Yeoman Third Class during WWII. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Helen Marie Watts.
Survivors include his sisters, Gerry Strahan and husband Howard of Houston, Bennie Brown and husband Ron of Longview, and Pat Watts of Kilgore; his nephew Kevin Wayne Brown of Cordova, Tennessee; his niece Karen Lynn Morris and husband John of Denton; and his great niece Hannah Grace Morris of Denton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Norphlet United Methodist Church Building Fund in Norphlet, Arkansas.
