James Austin Camp's Obituary
Memorial services for James Austin Camp, 61, of Longview will be 12 Noon Monday at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. John Sewell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, December 20, 2002 from 3 until 5 PM. Mr. Camp?s wishes were to be cremated.
Mr. Camp died Thursday, December 19, 2002 at his home. He was born in Kilgore on May 22, 1941 to Johnnie MaeRice and John Roy Camp. He graduated Kilgore High School and attended Kilgore College. He worked for LTV for many years, as well as Pacific Seal in Kilgore. He was most recently employed at Good Shepherd Medical Center. He served in the United States Air Force Reserve.
He was preceded in death by his, parents and a sister, Annie Merle Ford of Houston.
Surviving Mr. Camp are his wife, Shirley of Longview, and his daughter, Marla Kay Camp of Austin. Other survivors include a sister, Mary Lois Ford of Kilgore; brothers, Herbert Glenn Camp of Kilgore and Roy Camp of Long Branch; step-children, Sheila Sims of Longview, Tommy Brock of Winona, and Judy Brock of Lufkin; grandson, Matthew Brock of Longview; and special friend and mother of Matthew, Brenda McCurry of Longview and his loyal companion, Bud.
Other survivors include nieces, Dorothy Wiggins of Kingwood, Kandis Greco of Houston and Denise Holland of Kilgore; nephews, Roy David Ford of Houston, Mike Ford of Longview and Gary Ford of Birmingham, AL.
The family would like to thank friends and family for their prayers and loving support. A special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Schottstaedt, Christi, Ilene, Christina, Rev. Sewell and Clay for the exceptional care from Great Hospice of Texas.
