James Arthur Baker
James Arthur Baker, was born on December 26, 1938 in Pine Hill, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2004 at the age of 66 years. James was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Julia Baker; one brother, Robert Baker; and granddaughter, Alicia Grace Baker. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia; son, Edwin and his wife Chastity; beloved granddaughter, Ally James Baker; daughter, Angie and her husband Lonny; one sister, Ann Hammers; brothers, Bill and his wife Kathy, Tommy and his wife Lynn; as well as many nieces and nephews.
James attended CrossRoads Assembly of God Church in East Mountain. He served his country with the National Guard, was a 35 year member of Teamsters Local 745, and was retired from Stroh?s Brewery in Longview.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, December 31, 2004 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road, with the Reverend James Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery in Gilmer.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the funeral home.
Those serving as pallbearers include: Larry Bowman, Paige Cox, Harold Bridges, Clarence McGuire, Wayne Crawford, and Tom Simpson.
