Funeral services for James Ancel ?Buddy? Clinton , 93, of Hallsville will be held at Two O?clock pm Friday January 27, 2006 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Reverend Neal Thornburg officiating. Burial will follow in the Hallsville Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Clinton passed away Tuesday January 24, 2006 in Longview.
He was born February 27, 1912 in Panola County to Oscar and Myrtle Clinton. He was a dairy farmer and retired after ten years in the Maintenance Department at Marathon LeTourneau. He was a member of the Mulberry Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Oscar and Marilyn Clinton of Maumelle, Arkansas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Anceline and Bill Frazier of Hallsville, Texas; Sue and Ronald Waits of Longview, Texas; Shirley and Nigel Shivers of Karnack, Texas; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dora, parents Oscar and Myrtle Clinton, a brother, Ray Clinton, three sisters, Faye Walker, Vera Metcalf, and Mattie Lee Steger and a granddaughter Lauren Frazier.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6pm until 8 pm.
