Jacquelyn Belew's Obituary
Graveside services for Jacquelyn Belew, 85, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Stewart Cemetery in Rusk County. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Belew passed away Saturday morning in a local nursing home.
Jacquelyn was born on December 10, 1927 in Tatum, TX to Robert and Parkie Allen. She was a loving wife and mother who never complained about anything. Mrs. Belew was a member of Spring Hill First Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids at family events. Those who knew and loved her considered her an angel on Earth. She was married to the love of her life, Garland Belew, for almost 67 years. Jacquelyn worked for Southwestern Bell for over 35 years before retirement where she started as an operator and retired as a Group Chief. She enjoyed her job and was a good boss for the company. Together with Garland, she enjoyed traveling in their travel trailer and enjoyed many special trips together.
Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband' her children, Jimmy Belew of Longview, Cathy Clay of Nacogdoches, and Chuck Belew and his wife Pam of White Oak; her grandchildren Hollye Goode of Nacogdoches, Mallory Belew of White Oak, and Mandy Belew of White Oak. She is also survived by her great grandsons Jacob Goode, Joseph Goode, Thomas Goode and Cyan Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
