Graveside services for Jack H. Smith, 84, of Longview will be held at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery at 2 pm on Friday, August 31, 2012. Mr. Smith passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 in Longview. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012.
Mr. Smith was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 3, 1928 to Claude and Virginia Smith. He is a Navy Veteran. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Alice Smith. He enjoyed his family, wood crafting and golf. He was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Edrena Smith of Waco; daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Russell Stocks of Gilmer; grandchildren Jamie Beggs, Shane Smith, Laura LeBlanc, Kristin Wilson, Chelsi Ross; sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Loran Imlay of Las Vegas; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
