Jack Roverta Williams
October 28, 1928 --June 16, 2006
Jack Roverta Williams beloved husband , father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and faithful servant of the Lord, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, June 20, 2006 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
Jack was born October 28, 1928, in Healdton, Oklahoma to Roe and Etta Williams. A lifelong resident of Longview and Kilgore, Jack graduated from
Kilgore High School in 1946 and was a graduate of Kilgore College. He worked for Texas Eastman Company before retiring in January 1984 after 34 years of service. He married Johnnie Kesterson Williams on March 15, 2001. They loved dancing, traveling, sports, bridge, babysitting grandkids, and their small bible study group. Jack and Johnnie were members at Alpine Church of Christ and Jack loved his ?Prime Time? Sunday School class. Jack?s first priority was always family. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Roe and Etta Williams and youngest brother Dan Williams.
Jack will be sadly missed by his wife Johnnie; daughter, Shirley Cook and husband Jim Cook of Chandler, TX, daughter, Linda Tillery and husband Quin Tillery of Longview, TX; son, Dr. Andy Williams and wife Dr. Jeannie Williams of College Station, TX; son, Dr. Joey Williams and wife Kori Williams of San Antonio, TX; stepdaughter Gayla Baxter and husband Keith Baxter of Dallas, TX. Jack had 9 grandchildren Scott Parker, Russell Parker, Stacy Ellis, Hunter Tillery, John Tillery, Steven Williams, Shanna Williams, Jared Williams, and Colby Williams, 3 step grandchildren Blake Baxter, Brian Baxter, and Brook Baxter, as well as 6 great grandchildren Steven Groves, Natalie Ellis, Kaylee Ellis, Brianna Ellis, Presley Parker, and Macy Parker, his brothers, Udolph Williams and wife Thelma, Doug Williams, Donald Williams and wife Mary, Doyle Williams and wife Pat, Ronald Williams and wife Cloyce, Fred Williams and wife Jennie, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, host of friends and good neighbors.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, June 19, 2006 at the funeral home.
