Jack Bentley Mebane's Obituary
Jack Bentley Mebane, 79, of Longview, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009 in a local hospital. Mr. Mebane was born in Dekalb, Texas on August 20, 1930. He was retired from SWEPCO after 29 years and was a Veteran of the National Guard. Jack loved to hunt and fish. He never met a stranger and kids loved him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Judy Mebane; their 2 children, Jack Mebane Jr, and wife, Julie, and Kelly Lovelady; 5 grandchildren, Lisa Mebane, Jake Mebane and his wife Lorna, Kristen Mebane, Kayla Lovelady and Kyle Lovelady; and his daughter from a former marriage, Carolyn Swindle.
