Jack Barron's Obituary
Memorial services for Jack Barron, 78, of Ore City will be 4 PM Monday, December 1st at the First Lutheran Church, 3901 Bill Owens Pkwy. With Pastor Phil Fenton officiating. Mr. Barron, a longtime area resident, died from cancer Wednesday, November 26th at a Longview hospital.
Mr. Barron served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed as a welder for 35 years at Texas Eastman Co. and was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Longview.
He is survived by his wife, Maria of Ore City; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Fran Barron of Dallas; a daughter, Cherry Barron of Burnett, Texas; a sister, Geraldine Harsch of Garland; a grandson, Matthew Barron; step-son, Steve Reynolds; step-daughter and husband, Linda and Chris Walters of Longview; two step-grandchildren, Erik and Scott Powell of Longview.
Memorials may be made to the building fund at the First Lutheran Church, 3901 Bill Owens Pkwy. Longview, TX 75605.
