Jack Adams' Obituary
May 21, 1922 – February 21, 2019
Jack was born in Comanche County to James Franklin & Annie Mirtia Kelley Adams. Jack was the 10th of 11 children born to James & Annie. Jack joined the Army in 1942 and served as Private First Class in the 25th Military Police until 1945. Jack and Rachel Irene Hale met in Oklahoma City and married on March 13, 1954
Jack was proceeded in death by both parents, all siblings and their spouses, and his wife of 31 years.
Jack and Irene had two kids: Terry Jack Adams of Lindale and Teena & Ronnie Hopkins of Hallsville. Two granddaughters: Kristy & Micheal Marjason and Mechele & Dalton McBride all of Hallsville. Four great grandchildren Brently & Paislee McBride and Harper Jack & Sloane Marjason. Jack has lots of nieces and nephews.
Jack loved driving an 18 wheeler for years. He started at Piggly Wiggly in Ft. Worth and then moved to Longview and worked for East Texas Motor Freight. Once ETMF sold to Arkansas Best Freight he continued working for them until his retirement on 12-30-1985.
Services for Jack will be Saturday, February 23 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. A visitation will be held the night before from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
