Irvin Eugene "Gene" Worsham's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Irvin (Gene) Worsham announce that he passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at his home in Longview, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
Gene was born on May 25,1938 to Robert and Susan Worsham in Garrison, https://Texas.He graduated from Hawkins High School in 1957, where he met the love of his life Patsy Graham. They would marry that same year on August 23rd. They have two sons, Tony born in 1960 and Tim born in 1961.
Gene began his career for Davis-Kemp Tool Company in Kilgore, Texas. He was later transferred to Palestine, Texas to open a new branch. His career with them would span 36 years.
Gene enjoyed doing activities with his family. He never missed a sporting event with Tony, or a band event with Tim. Every summer was like National Lampoon's Vacation! He would load up the station wagon and have a trip planned out with a road map! He would make reservations ahead of time at Best Western's along the route and the family went to various places. DisneyLand in California, DisneyWorld in Florida, Colorado and even to Canada! It wasn't unusual to leave home on Saturday morning and drive four hours just to eat at a particular restaurant.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patsy, brothers Hollis Worsham and Albert Worsham, sisters Sybal Davis and Nobie Rambo.
Gene is survived by his sister Ruby Modisette of Kilgore, Texas. Son's Tony and his wife Carla of Longview, Texas. Tim and his wife Ann of Jacksonville, Texas. Grandson Josh Worsham and his wife Ali, of Longview, Texas. Grandson Nicolas Worsham and granddaughter Bethany Worsham of Jacksonville, Texas. Two great grandsons Benjamin Worsham and Owen Worsham of Longview, Texas. Also, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 16th at 1:00 pm at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Mineola, Texas.
The family would like to thank everyone at Enhabit Hospice for their exceptional care of Pops or "Tots" as Owen lovingly called him.
