Irmtraut Louise Pohl's Obituary
Irmtraut Pohl, 85, of Longview passed away Saturday Afternoon in Montgomery, Texas. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Longview with Father Gavin Vaverek officiating. A Rosary will be recited in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview at 6 PM Tuesday, January 4. The family will receive friends following the Rosary until 8 PM.
Irmtraut was born on April 26, 1925, in Witzhausen, Germany. She moved from Germany to America in 1953 and co-founded Bio-Derm Laboratories in 1971 where she worked and retired. She was a long time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Irmrtraut enjoyed family, outdoors, working with all types of animals and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claus J. Pohl; her granddaughter, Natalie Pohl; and her grandson, Adam Pohl.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael A. Pohl of Houston, and Frank H. Pohl of Longview; her grandchildren, Justin Pohl of Longview, Travis, Nicholas and Ashley of Houston; and great grandchildren, Kyle, Connor and Camden, all of Longview.
