Iris Dorothy Taylor's Obituary
Graveside services for Iris Taylor will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 2pm in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm at Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Thursday January 31 2018. Iris went to be with the Lord in the early evening of January 28, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Iris was born on December 9, 1926 in Headcorn England to parents Horace and Dorothy Coomber. She married her husband William Taylor in England while he was serving in the United States Army. She followed her husband from England to the US in 1947. Iris had a passion for spending time in her garden growing flowers and tomatoes as well as caring for any stray animal that she came upon. She was a strong and compassionate woman who loved her family.
Iris is preceded in death by her husband William C. Taylor, her parents, Horace and Dorothy Coomber, son Richard Taylor and his wife Betty. Those left to cherish their memories of Iris include her children, Adrian Taylor and his wife Sandra, Terry Taylor and his wife Cindy, and Sandra McCain; 7 grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
