Dear Family,
My heart was broken when Lisa let me know Jody had passed away. We became BEST friends at the ballpark with Heather and Robert Douglass. She and I would meet at the old LHS Tennis Courts downtown to "try" and play, mostly getting some exercise and having fun together. Jody would come to the house and eat many meals then going home to cook as well. Phone calls, visits, and gifts were often exchanged. When Michael had his wisdom teeth out, I was the one who was with him at the house. The ironing board and iron were out so I asked if she needed any ironing done. She opened the door and there was all her ironing including Bob's pharmacy jackets. I love to iron, so between taking care of Michael and phone calls from Jody and Bob checking on him, I ironed everything during those 8 hours! How many hearing aides if Bob's did the dog eat? Oh how we laughed. We were together in Las Vegas and Grand Cayman on two great trips. Jody enjoyed playing card games of Uno, Skip Bo, and dominoes at our dining table. She was there for me with the loss of my first husband, Owen Douglass in 1992, and served at to reception of my second wedding to Ray Noblit. Jody was my Sister by Choice since I did not have a sister. How I cherished my friendship and my memories now. Prayers for all of you. We will miss her earthly body, but I look forward to hugging her again one day in Heaven. God has a great angel May you feel the loving arms of our Lord around your shoulders, and may He give you peace in the days to come. I love you, Jody❤️
