Ira Barnell Rascoe's Obituary
Ira Barnell "Buster" Rascoe, 88, of Longview, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. He was born, January 2, 1926 to Clifton and Gussie Rascoe in Mansfeild, LA. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, stationed in Hawaii. After the war, he worked for 40 years with International Plumbing Supply in Longview, and on retirement opened Rascoe Jewelry & Gifts in Longview with his wife Mary where they worked for 30 years. He was a member of Winterfield United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bruce L. Rascoe; & niece, Dru Ann Rascoe, and he is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria & Joe Tebo of Longview; grandsons, Michael Cox of Cleburne and John David Cox of Flower Mound; granddaughter Candice Blanco of Carrollton; great grandson, Julian Cox; great granddaughters, Tatum Cox, Jamison Cox, and Audrey Davidson; and brother, Ronald Rascoe of Longview; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at Rader Funeral Home on Judson Rd in Longview on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview. Then family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
