Funeral services for Inez Thompson, 76, of Longview will be held Four O?clock pm Tuesday October 7, 2003 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral home. Burial will follow at Lakeview Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Thompson passed away Saturday October 4, 2003 in Longview.
She was born September 20, 1927 in Fredrick, Oklahoma to Homer Jack Austin and Lilly Gertrude Kelley. She had lived in Longview since 1970. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church on the Rock.
She is survived by her children, Terri Lynn Thompson of Longview; Melanie Karen and James Glenn Stephens of Longview; grandchildren, Seth Ryan Hanzik of Longview; Ashley Dawn Akin of Carrollton, Texas; Zane Colin Taylor of Longview; Alek Stephens of Longview, great grandchildren, Brannon, Colin and Zane, brother, Jackie Kelley, sister-in-law, Maydell Kelley of Temple, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Joseph Ward Thompson and daughter Vicki Darlene Akin, brothers, Reuben Kelley, Weldon Kelley, sisters, Imogene Kelley, Joleen Price and Merle Cochran.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday October 6, 2003 from 6pm until 8pm.
