Inagene Owens Smith's Obituary
A celebration of life service for Inagene Owens Smith, 96, of Longview will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, 670 FM Rd l804 in the Hoard community 7 miles east of Mineola, TX with Rev. Jim Pickins officiating under direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery, FM 2422 in the Hoard Community.
Mrs. Smith was born July 21, l917 in Lindale, TX to William P. and Lois Burden Owens and passed away October 10, 2013 in Longview, Texas.
Mrs. Smith had lived in Longview since l944. She was a longtime member of the Greggton United Methodist Church and a lifelong Methodist. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ, her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband L. Paul Smith in 1973; grandson Stanley Gene Smith and her three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include sons Gene M. Smith and wife Eyvonne, Phillip P. Smith and
wife Patricia, Stephen L. Smith and wife Marilyn all of Longview, and daughter Linda S. Bullard and husband Roy of Mineola; grandchildren Jeffery and Wendy Smith of Kilgore, Scott and Cathy M. Smith of Plano, granddaughter-in-law Pam Smith, Michael and Suzanne Smith, Paula and Todd Bondurant, Teresa and Bryan Owen, all of Longview, David Smith of Flower Mound, TX, Connie and Dr. Russell Glenn of Cedar Hill, TX, Daniel and Shannon Smith of Tyler, TX, Stephen Paul Smith of Oklahoma City, Melanie and Wesley Whitton, Holly and Michael Etchelecu and Owen Berry all of Longview and numerous great and great,great grandchildren and one sister-in law Mary M. Owens of Hurst, TX., and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday night Oct. 14th at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, Longview, TX from 6 to 8 PM.
