Idell Hurley's Obituary
Idell Linton Hurley, born September 3, 1941 in Henderson Texas passed from this earthly life December 10, 2017. She was a long time resident of East Mountain. A memorial service will be held at the Abundant Life Temple in Gladewater on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2 p.m.
She was proceeded into Heaven by her husband of 39 years Willie Hurley. She is survived by her mother Dancle Clark, sister Betty McKay, and brother Wyatt Norman of Kilgore. Also left behind are daughters Maxine and husband Rodney Moore and Willie Marie and husband Wes Overturf, five grandsons Donald and wife Kassie Bonner, Robert and wife Janette Bonner all of Longview, and Kevin, Kameron, and Kaleb Overturf of Broken Bow Oklahoma, six great grandchildren Adrienne, Austin, Nevaeh, Jaydon, Blake, and R.J. Bonner of Longview.
She loved to help people and did a great job of it. She was the former owner of The Country Showcase in Gladewater. She helped many singers find their way to stages all over. She also was the former manager of the food pantry and clothing ministry at The Lighthouse Church in Longview. Her family was the light of her life, especially her great grandkids who knew they were greatly loved by their Nanny.
