Ida Frances Buchanan's Obituary
Funeral services for Ida Frances Buchanan, 89, of Hallsville will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Brother Joe Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
Ida was born on June 25, 1922 in Marshall Texas to Dick and Etta Thompson. She was a longtime member of the Hallsville Church of Christ. Mrs. Buchanan and her husband, Buck, owned and operated Longview Livestock. She loved to cook for her family, especially on Christmas, and loved her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert "Buck" Buchanan; and her son, Jim Buchanan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Vicki Buchanan, and Mike and Linda Buchanan; her grandchildren and their spouses, Ronnelle and Robby Bridges, Skip and Jill Buchanan, Brandy and Stephanie Buchanan, Jay and Shannon Baton, Robby Buchanan, and Jody Baton; her great grandchildren Dalton Buchanan, Macy Buchanan, Rayven Bridges, Rustin Bridges, Brooke Buchanan, Case Buchanan, Brittany Stillman and Whittany Baton.
