Services for Hugh Taylor, 82, of Longview will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church of Longview with the Reverend Jonathan Jehorek officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Taylor was born on June 8, 1929 in Eldorado, AR to William and Lillie Mae Taylor. He passed away on September 1, 2011 at his residence. He was retired from Texas Eastman since 1986 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Longview. Hugh loved and adored his family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and love the great outdoors. He was known by his family as the "Champion Quail Hunter". He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Taylor of Longview; sons, Martin Taylor and wife Charlene of Longview and Sam Taylor; and daughter, Mary Lee and husband, Glenn Carnes; grandchildren, David Taylor and wife Amber, Kristi Melara and husband, Manrique, Jacob Taylor, Joshua Taylor, and Wade Carnes; great grandchildren, Hayden Taylor, Colton Taylor, and Elizabeth Melara; sisters-in-law, Dorthea Taylor, LaLita Taylor, Betty Boone and Mary Mithchell and her husband Zack; as well as two nieces and numerous nephews. He is also survived by his very special canine companion, "Winnie".
