Huey P. Turner's Obituary
Graveside services for Huey P. Turner, age 81 of Laneville, will be held Monday March 1, 2010 at 2:00pm at Duncan Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Turner died Friday night in a Carthage Nursing facility.
Huey was born November 16, 1928 in Gibsland, La to William Franklin & Annie Mae Turner. He worked in the oil field on drilling rigs for many years before his retirement. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Navy. Huey found the Lord on December 3, 2009. He loved animals, and never met a stranger, and always had a funny story to tell. He will be sadly missed by his family and others that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Tim Turner.
He is survived by daughters Linda Draper of Marshall, Terri Huffman and Tina Harrington both of Shreveport. Also surviving is 8 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren
The family would like to give special thanks for the care he was given by Carthage Health Care, and nurse Lonnie, and Heartsway Hospice, and nurse Angela.
