Howard Francis Floyd's Obituary
Howard Francis Floyd, died on March 11, 2024, at the age of 77. Howard was a good provider, loving father, loving husband, and true to his friends and family. He was a master of his craft, he cherished coaching little league ball for his kids, and loved taking his family water skiing. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering in his shop, listening to gospel music and playing card games on the computer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Fannie Floyd, brothers, Lawrence Floyd, John Edmund Floyd, sister Cherry Lee Floyd, and a grandson Scott Alexander Steagall.
Howard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan Floyd, stepson Stason Steagall of Ponca City, OK, son William Floyd and wife Diann of Fritch, TX, and daughter Jennifer West of Longview, TX. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Heath Steagall, Trey Floyd, Alie Price and husband Ira, Audrey West, Kaitlyn West, and 6 great grandchildren. Sister Linda Folk and husband Leon of Pawhuska, OK, and brother Kenneth Floyd of Fritch, TX.
A graveside service to honor Howard’s life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, in the Mausoleum at Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview. Visitation will start at 10:00am with the service to follow at 11:00AM.
