Howard D. Foster's Obituary
Funeral services for Howard D. Foster, 87, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Monday, August 30, 2010 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Bob Burk officiating. Mr. Foster passed away Thursday night in a local nursing home. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Howard was born on October 4, 1922 in Austin, Texas to W.F. and Susan Foster. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was retired from Volkswagen where he worked as the service manager.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Helen Gay Foster of Longview; sons, Clay Foster and his wife Jennifer, and Charles Parker and his wife Jackie; daughters, Linda Hart and her husband Marvin, Susan Willis and her husband Gary, and Mary Terry and her husband Wayne; sister-in-law, Retta Ferguson; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
