Funeral services Howard Ray Coates, age 73 of Henderson, will be held Tuesday September 19, 2017 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. David Gatlin officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00p until 3:00pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home before the service. Mr. Coates was born December 3, 1943 in Tauton, MASS. to Howard and Billie Ruth Coates, died Saturday September 16, 2017 at his residence. Ray was a retired mechanic for the East Texas Mack Company in Longview, he had served in the National Guard and the Army Reserves, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rusk He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Suzanne Coates King. Survivors include his wife Katherine Coates of Henderson, Children James Coates and wife Pam of Henderson, Lisa Davis and husband Gerald of Montana, Howard Coates of Troy. Alabama, Debbie Huff and husband Glenn of Whitehouse. Charles Boyte and David Warren of Mt. Selman. Also surviving is his sister Connie French of Henderson, brother Bill Coates and wife Dawn of Plano, 10 Grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
