Horace V. Hogue's Obituary
Services for Horace V. Hogue, 91, of Longview, will be 2 PM Saturday, May 17th at the Calvary
Christian Tabernacle, 301 E. Hawkins Parkway with Reverend Tim
Sullivan and Reverend Michael McGuire officiating. Entombment will be at Rosewood Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Mr. Hogue died Thursday morning at a Longview nursing center.
He was born October 17, 1911 at Bivins, Texas. A former resident of Atlanta, Mr. Hogue had resided in Longview for twenty years. He enjoyed a long and varied career in oilfield exploration and energy production, concluding his working years as a core engineer. Mr. Hogue was an active member of the Calvary Christian Tabernacle.
He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Lee Hogue of Longview; his children, James Hogue of Estes Park, CO, H. V. Hogue, Jr. of Tyler, TX, Delores Martin of Jeffersonville, IN, Patricia Matthews of Wimberly, TX, Jimmy Hogue of Longview, Rebecca Terry of Round Rock, TX and sister, Opal Anderson of Tyler, TX.
He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bill Hogue and a daughter, Ruth Howard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Christian Tabernacle of Longview. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6-9 PM.
To my loving husband and dad- You have been a wonderful husband and a great provider for me and our family. We are going to miss you, but we love you very much and we know that you are in Heaven with Jesus.
