Horace Jerry Lee
Horace Jerry Lee was born on July 6, 1943 in Center, TX to Horace and Sara Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son Michael Lee; Daughter, Keri Lee and husband Shane Jenkins; Grandchildren, Justin Lee, Mariah Jenkins, and Spencer Jenkins; Great-Grandchild, Bradley Mitchell; Brother, Billy Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lee served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He later went on to become a teacher at Tatum elementary for ten years. His favorite pastime was eating Shipley’s donuts.
Mr. Lee’s favorite motto was “I’m from Texas and don’t you forget it!” which he coined while guarding Nazi prisoner of war Rudolf Hess.
