Horace G. Nicholson's Obituary
Cryptside services for Horace G. "Nick" Nicholson, 76, are set for 2 PM Saturday, April 12, 2003, in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum with the Chaplain Dick Lindsey officiating. Entombment will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. Nicholson went home to Jesus April 9, 2003 after suffering a brief illness at Regional Hospital.
Mr. Nicholson was loved by many for his kind heart and comical disposition. Adevoted husband and loving father.
A born again son of God, Mr. Nicholson stood unashamed of his savior Jesus Christ. Mr. Nicholson was a veteran of the U.S. NAVY during WWII. He worked for LeTourneau and retired after 25 years of service. He had great love for fishing with his sons, and loved animals, traveling, music, dancing, and cherished family get togethers. Mr. Nicholson is survived by his dear wife, Claudia Fuller Nicholson of Spring Hill. He took pride in his 7 children and their spouses. Three daughters, Veda Yarington and husband Lee, Edith Mae Hoff and husband Philip all of Oregon, Carrie Renee Moore and husband Billy of Longview, his sons, Troy Nicholson of Oregon, Mith Williams and wife Sue of Henderson, Andy Nicholson of Tatum, Eddy Nicholson of Longview, and one brother, Earnest Nicholson of College Station. He left behind 15 grandchildren.
Casey and Michelle Gill, Ashley Davidson, Jeremy and Micah Moore, all of Longview. Jennifer, Stephanie, and Felicia Williams of Henderson, Vaughna, Cameron, Kendra, Grady, Cindy, and Stephen all of Oregon. Several great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Nicholson was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Carrie Nicholson, daughter-in-law, Laura Nicholson, and grandson Ryan Nicholson. 2 brothers David and Troy Nicholson.
