Holly Homan Latham's Obituary
Holly Homan Latham, 62, returned to her heavenly home on October 15, 2014 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Mrs. Latham was born on November 26, 1952 in Midland, Texas to her parents, William and Tommye Homan. She married Tillman Latham in 1975. She received her degree in nursing from Kilgore College and became a registered nurse in 1999. The Lathams resided in the local community of Gum Springs, where she was an active member of Gum Springs Christian Church.
Mrs. Latham was a caring and dedicated member of the nursing staff at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
Mrs. Latham is survived by husband, Tillman; her sister, Honey Overby, of Houston, Texas; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Teresa Latham of Katy, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tom Waldo of Kilgore, Texas; her son, Scott Latham of Hawkins, Texas; five grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her mother, Tommye Homan; and her father, William Homan.
Mrs. Latham will be buried in a graveside memorial service on October 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Gum Springs Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mrs. Latham’s life. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
