Henry Warren Hopkins
Services for Henry Warren Hopkins, 85, of Longview, will be held at Noon Friday, November 5, 2004 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road, with the Reverends Arville Earl, David Lawson and Christopher Breedlove officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, November 4, 2004 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hopkins was born on January 4, 1919 in Harleton to Clifford and Myrtie Hopkins. He passed away Wednesday morning, November 3, 2004 in a Longview nursing facility.
Mr. Hopkins retired from the Longview Police Department as an officer of over 34 years. For his dedication and service to the City of Longview, Mr. Hopkins will receive Police Funeral honors presented by the Longview Police Department Honor Guard. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church.
Mr. Hopkins was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maurine Hopkins; and brother, Herman Hopkins. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia and Arville Earl of Macedonia, Europe, Sharron and Les Blalock of O?Fallon, MO, Maurita and Troy Myers of Longview; grandchildren, Alan and Layla Earl, Amy and Christopher Breedlove, Stephanie and Aaron Richardson, Zachary Myers, and Spencer Myers; great grandchildren, Elijah and Anna Breedlove; sister and brother-in-law, Nora Elizabeth and Dean Steelman of Gilmer; brother, and sister-in-law, Bert and Letha Hopkins of Bryson; as well as a loving family friend, Sara Lancaster of Longview.
The Longview Police Department Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.
