Henry M. Hampton's Obituary
Graveside services for Henry M. "Bo" Hampton, age 91 of Henderson, will be held Saturday June 23, 2012 at 2:00pm at Lakewood Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Conway officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Hampton died Wednesday June 20, 2012 at ETMC Tyler.
Henry was born July 4, 1920 in Tatum to George H. and Anna Florence Hampton. He was a retired Yellow Cab Company driver in Alaska, and had also worked for Mustang Drilling Company. Bo was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army participating in the European Theater in W.W. II. He was awarded two Purple Hearts, and a Bronze Star. He was also a member of the VFW, and a Baptist. Mr. Hampton loved to visit with family and friends before his illness.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frankie, his parents, a brother Richard Dick Hampton, and a sister Mary Kate Neal.
Survivors include Son George E. Hampton of Henderson, daughter-in law Karen Hampton of Henderson, grandson Barry E. Hampton of Henderson, brothers Gyp Hampton & wife Margaret and Virgil Hampton & wife Jeanette all of Henderson. Also surviving are 3 nephews & special care giver niece Ann
Pallbearers will be Kent Hampton, Barry Hampton, Brad Hampton, Wayne Hampton, Guy Johnson, and Brad Hogue.
Visitation will be from 12noon until 1:30pm at the funeral home.
