Henrietta Fugler Wolf
Devoted wife of 52 years and loving, and greatly loved, mother of three sons. two daughters and seven grandchildren, died at her home amidst family and friends on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at age 70. She survived recurring cancer for just over 5 years.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon Friday, October 15, 2004, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview. Visitation will be 6:00 P. M. to 7:30 P. M., Thursday, October 14th with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel.
She worked energetically with her children?s development world to include several levels of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts leadership at the local level and the district level, and she was equally active in numerous initiatives at St. Anthony?s and St. Mary?s Schools.
She was past president of The Lady?s Guild and served on St. Anthony?s Church Board, and was always a responder when calls for help went out, including fund raising for United Way and other programs. She drew great delight from being a supportive friend, especially in unexpected ways. Sewing was a lifelong source of satisfaction, earlier for a growing family, and later making fancy delights that challenged the best of talent and imagination.
She and her husband, Thomas, are both from the Austin area, and have made their home in Longview since 1958. Henrietta participated in commercial real estate development in Austin and provided support of the family manufacturing business.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Yetta Fugler of Marshall and her only bother, Malcolm.
Her survivors are husband, Thomas; sons, Steven, David and wife, Kendel; Wayne and wife, Melissa; daughter, Nancy and husband, B. J. Templeton with grandchildren Blake, Brooke and Bryan; Daughter, Karen and husband, Brad Cox with grandchildren Rebecca, Jacob, Amanda and Zachary. Three sisters; Carol and husband, Layton Buckner of Georgetown; Dolly Moore of Houston; Jenoise and husband, Fred Dwight of Destin, Florida, and many loved and cherished nephews and nieces.
Pall bearers are cousins L. A. Fugler, Jr. of Marshall and Frank Pease of Austin; Nephews Ed Wolf of Cameron and Jimmy Fugler of Lindale, and wonderful friends Joel Ross of Kingsport and Charles Craven of Georgetown. Honorary pallbearers are I. G. Janca of Elgin, Gene Beck of Round Rock, Bill Pohl of Austin, Frank Ronzello of Nacogdoches, and Jules Morris of Longview.
Memorials are suggested to The Gabriel Project, Marywood, Texas Right to Life, or other facilities for Orphans, Unwed Mothers and Right to Life, all being sentiments of her motherly self.
