Words fail to express how we feel.
Helen was a very dear friend and we loved her. Her bright smile and wonderful attitude would always light up our day.
She was a sister in Christ and we enjoyed Sunday school and church more when she was there. Ofcourse we knew we would go out to eat when church was over on Sunday morning.
And our trips to South Texas...James lead the way and Helen was the "Walmart spotter"....she would get on the CB and alert the other women that a Walmart was coming up. We would put up a cry to "STOP-STOP-STOP". and she was the official "Potty Stop"
announcer. The rest of us were always ready too. Ofcourse we usually got something to eat out of our trailers and passed it around.
James, Helen, Fred and I enjoyed so many of the same things.
We were not into the playing games...Pegs and Jokers, ets. ..so we went sight seeing or our favorite "shopping" while the others played games. Oh, we are all going to miss her....still can't believe it.
Beth called last night and was furious because I did not call her so she could get a flight out in time to be here. She said, "You know Miss Helen was my favorite, next to Miss Jane. She has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. She would come up after church and ask Daddy "Where are we going to eat today?" when Mr. James was working and she would go with us. I would have been there, and
Will loved "Hewen"." Beth kept saying "I can't believe it." Then she would cry again.
Yes, we will all miss her, but we know we will see her again and she can show us the sights around heaven. And the best places to eat!!!
Love and prayers,
