She was born August 14, 1923 to James Oscar and Ida Frances Summers Lee in Bogota, Texas. She was a member of the Reel Road Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Rogers, her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Ken Lattin of Longview, and Brenda and Gary Carter of Shreveport, Louisiana. She also leaves these grandchildren: Lori Lattin of Carrollton, Kenneth Lattin and his wife Pamela of Longview, Cody Carter of Shreveport, Louisiana; one nephew Charles W. Williams of Longview; and three great grandchildren: Henry Rogers Lattin, Elliott Lee Lattin, and Evelyn Alma Lattin all of Longview.
She had a deep love for her family. One of the many ways she expressed that love was in making beautiful cakes for her children and grandchildren's' birthdays. She was a faithful and supportive wife while her husband was in the Pacific during World War II. She had an abiding love of country that she instilled in her children and grandchildren. Above all, she was an example to others of what a Godly wife, mother, and grandmother should be. She was truly a virtuous woman. "A woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised." Proverbs 31:30
