Helen L. Lefever
October 10, 1911 – March 7, 2009
Helen was born in Center, Colorado to Mikael and Elizabeth Barrier. She worked as a devoted house keeper and wife to Bob Lefever living various locations including Canada and Houston until retiring in Longview. She recently was living at Summer Meadows Nursing Home in Longview until returning to be with the Lord and loving family members in heaven. Helen loved to cook, sew and work in the yard. She was full of life, said what was on her mind and was always smiling. She was loved by many and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband R.B. Lefever; daughter Judi Tate; son in law Roy Tate, and grandson Mike Boaz.
Surviving family members include her daughter Karen Scarberry of Saginaw; grandson Robert Boaz and wife Sandy of Lake Cherokee; granddaughter Katy Rudd of Austin; great-grand children Michael Boaz of Longview, Mark and Matthew Greer of Nacogdoches, Eric and Steven Rudd of Austin; great – great granddaughter Madison Boaz of Longview; caregiver Donna Barron of Lake O' the Pines. Also a host of special friends and relatives.
Services will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday March 10, 2009 at Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel, with Chaplain Don Ross officiating. Entombment will under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Memorial contributions may be made to Hearts Way Hospice 1306 Pine Tree Road Longview, Texas 75604.
