Helen Langford Singleton
Funeral services for Helen Langford Singleton, 62, of Kilgore, a former longtime resident of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February, 24, 2007 at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Orr and the Reverend Bob Petty officiating. Burial will be in DeBerry Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Thursday morning, February 22, in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Singleton was born August 31, 1944 in Shreveport, Louisiana to John, Jr. and Helen Dougherty. She was a retired assistant manager for K-Mart in Longview and was a volunteer private duty sitter. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Longview.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Tommy Wayne Langford, Sr. and Virgil D. Singleton.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Tommy Wayne Langford, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Henderson, Beth Allen and husband Edward of Longview, and Catherine Smith and husband Blake of Carthage; grandchildren, Coy, Trevor, Whitney, Timothy, Matthew, Daniel, Josh, Ben, and Grandma?s Patsy; step-great grandchildren, Hunter, Falyn, Colton, Jaycee and Tristan; brothers, John C. Dougherty, III and wife Lynn of Jefferson, and William Noah Dougherty and wife Lyn of Shreveport; sisters, Patricia Anne Tolar and husband Jim of Haughton, LA and Catherine Levy of Louisiana; and special friends, Joann and David Hawkins.
