Helen Francis Berryman's Obituary
Helen Francis Berryman passed away peacefully Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the age of 92. Helen was born to Marion L. Keith and Ruby Crystal Higgins on January 8, 1931 in Dallas, Texas.
Helen grew up in Longview attending schools in Spring Hill and Longview school districts. She would later meet and marry the love of her life Jess Willard Berryman and went on to attend Bish Mathis Institute of Business.
Helen considered the next 66 years spent with Jess until his death as the best years of her life. Jess and Helen raised three daughters together. Once their girls were grown with families of their own, they started traveling with friends across the country in their travel trailers. They visited many places and met so many wonderful people. Throughout those years, they enjoyed trips to Branson and Eureka Springs to visit siblings and cousins at family reunions.
Family was the most important aspect of her life, and she instilled that importance in her daughters.
Nothing pleased Jess and Helen more than spending birthdays and holidays with their daughters and grandchildren, laughing and making lifetime memories that would be cherished for years to come.
Helen will be missed by her surviving daughters and their spouses; Susan Thomas and her husband Roger; Vickie Coley and her husband Alton; grandchildren Tammy Joplin (Jake), Todd Dirksen (Casey), Bridget Edwards (Curt), Erin Ramey (Will), Jay Thomas (Beckie), and Clint Coley (Jen). She was also blessed with eleven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Sammie Keith of Mesquite and her cousin Elsie Smallback of California along with nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother Ruby Nicholson and stepfather Ray Nicholson of Longview; husband Jess Berryman and daughter Sharon Bullock; brother Jack Keith of Mesquite; sister Lucille Brown and husband Howard of Dallas and brother Wayne Nicholson of San Antonio.
A private graveside service will be at noon Friday at Memory Park where Helen will be laid to rest.
As the family of Helen, we want to thank Highland Pines Nursing and Rehab for their Loving care that was given to Mother for the last two and a half years.
