I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother. Mrs. Blair was a very talented person...loved by many. I remember back years and years ago when she taught voice lessons to my daughter, Andrea. My husband, Larry, gave tennis lessons to Athena, Alex, and Chris...so we were acquainted through our children and also have lived a few blocks apart for the last 30 plus years. Mrs. Blair was my piano teacher. I loved pulling up at her house. I loved walking into the front door and taking an immediate right hand turn. I still remember the side-by-side black grand pianos. I always wanted to play the one on the left. That was my treat for playing well. By the way...I rarely played on that left hand side piano...that should tell you something about my skill at the piano. :
No matter, Mrs. Blair was always kind to me. I know you will miss her dearly.

I came to know and appreciate this special lady when my daughter, Ruthie, took piano and voice lessons from her for many years. Her positive influence lives on in all of those kids she taught. I enjoyed my years of piano lessons with Mrs. Blair. Getting ready for the Bach Festival at Kilgore College and her recitals at either the church or the Longview Community Center are great memories. Dear Chris, Athena and Alex,
I will always have the fondest of memories of Mrs. & Mr. Blair. They always welcomed me in their home when I came to see Chris and hang out after Tennis or before meeting our girlfriends etc. The Blair household was always a cherished respite from everyday life, a little piece of heaven.
I hope all the Blair family and their respective families are doing well and wish them the best.

Mrs. Blair was my piano teacher for 9 years. I remember many days of walking to piano lessons, sitting on her stairs, waiting for my lesson, and thinking to myself how she could have so many students day after day. I also remember how she left the Christmas lights up for extended periods of time. Mrs. Blair's passion for music was evident and she positively influenced my life. She will be greatly missed.
