Helen Alexander Blair's Obituary
Memorial services for Helen Alexander Blair, 84, of Longview, will be held at 2 PM Thursday, January 14, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Longview with Dr. Kenneth Hall officiating. Interment will be held prior to memorial services in Greenwood Cemetery, Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will greet friends at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Wednesday, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.
A native of Cleburne, Texas, she was born September 18, 1925 to Aleck and Daisey Alexander. Helen had lived most of her life in Longview. She was a private music teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church. Helen was one of the founding members of the Longview Symphony and the Longview Piano Teachers Association.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Alex Blair and wife Toni, Athena Blair Cajas and husband Edgar and Chris Blair and wife Dana; grandchildren: Alexa, Stefan, Christa, Asher, Britton, Aria, Aleck, Garrett and Peter Blair.
Helen has left through her estate charitable contributions to the Longview Symphony, Parkinson Research Foundation, the First Baptist Church Music Ministry and the St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Shreveport.
