I worked with Hazel at Longview Bank and Trust in the 70's! She was so fun, so smart, so full of life. I adored her! I learned so much from her, and everything I learned has carried me through all of my jobs and careers. Her mark on my life goes on and on. Whenever I would visit Longview, I would stop by to say Hi. She always remembered me and took the time to visit with me. Such a wonderful woman, one to be admired and one to always emulate. To her family and friends - my deepest sympathy and know that she was loved.

I never met Ms. Hickey, but I've known her well, for a very long time, because I've known her son, Rick and her daughter-in-law, Blessed, for the past 40 years. They have spoken, with love, about her for so long, I know I will know her when I meet her in Heaven.

How do you describe this wonderful lady? Oh my, the encourgement and love and strength of Hazel - AMAZING!! Always smiling and those beautiful blue eyes aglow. Just being near her would give comfort and calmness on the days you might have been a little down. I know that Jesus sure has a good helper. What an example she has been to everyone she came in contact with. You could see what a proud mama she was when Bro Rick would preach and Mike would present our special music at Providence Baptist Church. May God give the comfort that only He can give, to all the family and loved ones left behind. I look forward to being with her again. God Bless.

My Mom had banked with Ms. Hickey since 1963. When Mom died suddenly in 2008, Ms. Hickey searched for me to offer her condolences. She was a God-send in helping me get Mom's business straightened out. She went above the call of duty to personally help us. This is just a tribute to the kind of person she was. Longview is a better place because of her.

Mrs Hickey was a patient we will never forget. She made an impression on everyone she was around. Her sweet spirit was one that stood out above all others. We feel truly honored and blessed to have had the pleasure to have known her. She touched everyone around her with her caring disposition. She was a true angel and will be greatly missed by the staff on the Good Shepherd oncology floor.
