Hazel Claborn Hoffinger
Hazel Claborn Hoffinger was born March 6, 1921 to William and Annie Neely in Snyder, TX. Hazel died March 9, 2013 in Longview, TX.
Hazed was a homemaker for most of her life. She was always very involved in her daughter's lives and their schools. She married James "Jay" William Claborn on March 12, 1938 and they were married for 36 years. After he passed away, she worked at Fisher Hardware in downtown Longview. Hazel loved music and dancing, and she met her 2nd husband, Robert Hoffinger while attending senior citizen activities. Hazel and Robert married on October 26, 1991 and were married for 10 years before his death. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed greatly and her stories from her childhood will resonate for years.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Claborn; husband Robert Hoffinger; her sisters, Hallie Neely, Mary Smith and Aline Hargraves; and her son-in-law, James "Bubba" Lollar.
Hazel is survived by her daughters, Patricia and husband Roy Nash and Pamela Lollar; grandchildren, Monty Nash, Tonya Leigh, Tiffany Stipanuk, Shane Lollar, Cody Lollar and Jamie Lollar-Lane; and her great grandchildren, Taylor, Reagan, Aiden, Trey, Gage, Parker, Maycie, Jess and Natt.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Chaplain Keith Lybrand officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
