Helen was my mom's best friend. When my children were young, 2 would get sick and the other never did. My parent's would pick Nick up so he would not get sick and he went along to all the Sunday school parties and outings. Helen got to know my Nick. Unfortunately, Nick died in 2020. Helen told me recently that she would give him a big hug from us. One thing you know, if you know Helen, she will follow through with what she says. My mom said Helen would often get the rules out to whatever game they were all playing to make sure everyone was following the rules. It brings me joy that Helen is now rejoicing in Paradise and reunited with her precious family and friends. She had so many losses in her life and though there was much sorrow, she kept going. She actually told me it was one of the reasons she kept her life so busy. She has been a great mentor to me on handling the loss of my child. I will miss that "straight talking" lady but rejoice with her that she is finally home with her Lord.
